Confirmed on OSX.

Go to Quad View,
in one window Shift B,
go over to other window (quad) and drag > crash.

I cannot reproduce the crash here (linux64), not even with debug build and asan… Maybe an OSX one?

Jens, can you check? thanks

@FloridaJo: please do not make wild assignments…

@FloridaJo: please do not make wild assignments…

@mont29 not sure what you mean by wild assignments.
Ton asked for help on Triage, so without clear written steps
I'm just doing what I think is the way to do them.
Since it's original operating system was 'seven' and I can reproduce on OSX,
it seems an event handling bug across platforms.
Module owners list you as the 'event handling' person.
Just letting you know my thought process on this, if it is not
correct, let me know the correct way.
thanks

Eeeeh… OK, wasn’t even aware I was member of this module… :P Anyway, this is not event handling issue, more likely some glitch in draw code or operator code - or even yet another evil threading issue, since from your crashlog it's not main thread which crashes… Can’t say more, since I cannot reproduce. :/

Anyway, no big deal, what I mean is, unless you are absolutely positive about knowing who should handle the bug, better to add people as CC than making assignments. ;)

Okay, i verify crash, to reproduce:
in quadview do shift-b inside a view, do NOT set a suare
but click right into another view aspect -> crash.

On it ....

Okay, thanks.
Would be nice to have some outline on how to help with bugs than being banged side to side as one goes down that hallway. Can sap one's desire to help.
Anyway, here is a screencast of it happening on my machine.
