Short description of error

Children will not move with the parent if the the parent's parent is in another scene. The parent can be moved but the child will just stick where it is. Only by removing the parent's parent will the child move correctly again.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

Based on

:

  1. Move Cube 2 and notice that Cube 3, it's child, does not move
  2. Remove the parent of Cube 2 (the parent, Cube 1, is in Scene 1) either with Alt+P > Clear Parent or by clearing parent field in Object tab.
  3. Moving Cube 2 now also moves Cube 3 as expected.
  4. Re-parent Cube 2 to Cube 1 and notice the child, again, doesn't move.

That's a known dependency graph issue. I'll start working on a bumping the current depsgraph to the next level real soon now.

For now it's not considered a bug, but thanks for the report anyway!
