Win 7 x64, 2x GTX680;

blender-2.72-cdf5370-win64

I record my videos with Dxtory(I use the lagarith lossless codec) and edit them in Blenders VSE. In the preview window while editing it, everything works correctly, but as soon as I press render, it's like someone plays it at 200 times speed. When I playback the Video, only the first half of the video contains frames from my original one and the rest is black. I only hear the audio in the half with the black frames. I already did video editing with this screen recorder this codec and there it worked.(routhly version 2.69)

Open the .blend
Press Strg+F12
Look at the rendered Video

Sergey, this probably has to do with ffmpeg?

I just did a few more testings to help you out. I recorded a new video with HyperCam 2 and the lossless codec. There it worked. I asume it's how txdory writes the video. Maybe there are some kind of "null frames". Frames where there is no change are symply remapped???Maybe??

I will let Sergey make final decision here, but imho you should just use some kind of 'official' tool to export your files as images sequences (as PNGs, or EXR if you need/have float data), and use those in Blender.

In general, complex video file formats are not that well handled in Blender - it's not a video editing, so we cannot spent weeks and weeks to tweak ffmpeg usage until it's able to read and edit any possible format (especially rather exotic ones). ;)

(For me it sounds like you think I wanna export with this codec. I record with the lagarith codec, edit it in Blender and export a H264 with mp4 codec. Just in case you misunderstood me)
The thing is it worked already. I'm just not sure what happened in the meantime. I tried old Blender Versions as well as an older Txdory version. Didn't change the fact that it doesn't work.

This is a known issue with videos coming from third party software which tends to put keyframes wrong, or even corrupting the video header screwing the scrubbing. Generating timecode (i.e. Record Run) helps a lot in such cases. For now you can do it manually, making it more automatic is in our TODO.
