Blender Version
Broken: 2.72b 9e963ae
also broken in daily: c77eefb, 5c6e333

Short description of error
Render in sequencer is rendering image that is 2000 frame later. More precisely it jumps from 2047 to 4093. This behavior started when i returned to PC and found error "no free space on disk" (or something like that, HDD was full...)
If i try to render previous frame, everything is fine.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Press render and watch timeline...

I rendered this with no such problem. I don't think there is anything wrong here it is simple that your computer is out of hard disk space the reason that you could render previous frames is that Blender writes over the files that were previously rendered.

Have you tried to delete the images that were in the render output location.

Yes i tried that and few other stuff, did not work.

Something is wrong with that scene strip in sequence editor.

Was the no memory error in blender or your computer?

error message showed in blender. ("Error: No space left on device" if i remember and google correctly)

I was not at home when it happened so i am not sure for how long it was like that. I made space on hdd and tried to resume rendering but it start rendering image from frame 4000 and saved it as frame 2000...

Alright, so the first time I tried this on my windows 8.0 laptop everything was fine. However, I just tried it on my windows7 laptop and i got the same error. I am opening this back up and adding it to windows platform.

Hey @MarianKosa,
What you report here isn't a bug it's more or less the intended behaviour. "More or less" because it's really bad from the design perspective.
To make this work as you expect it to work, you need to reference to a different scene for the Sequencer, than you use for the 3D part. Or in other words, use a separate scene for the sequencer stuff.

Thanks @MarianKosa for the report, but no bug here (:

Thanks for info @JulianEisel
I report it as bug because i work for quite some time like this and never had problem. Even in this case i was able to render first 2000 frames. But who am i to say it is bug :) I will use separate scene for sequencer from now on.
