Fly/walk view nav cause parent object to move with child camera

Short description of error
A child camera will move parent object in Fly/Walk View Navigation (Shift F).
Very annoying when doing manual camera matching.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Parent any object to Camera (Any object as parent, camera as child)
  2. Change to camera view
  3. Activate fly/walk view navigation (Shift F)

Parent object will move with the camera.

Ugh, confirmed, ugly indeed!

I think that's the way it works, just disable 'Camera Paret Lock' option in preferences / interface / view manipulation

Yep, did not know about that one so had to find it reading code… As @lower case (lowercase) said, it’s a feature that you can easily disable, no bug here in the end. Thanks for the report anyway.

Ohh, good. IMO, that button should be disabled by default. Been confusing few of my vfx mates.
