Blender Version
Broken: 2.73.a bbf09d9,

**Export and Import Keyconfig*

  1. Go to User Preferences > Input. Add a keyconfig preset.(+) Name it.
  2. Go to Window. Replace search menu with "shift spacebar"
  3. Go to Screen - Screen Global replace toggle quad view with "spacebar"
  4. Export keyconfig and name it.
  5. Exit and open blender. Go to User Prefrences > Input
  6. Import previously exported keyconfig.
  7. Scroll down to see all the objects. (camera, cube, lights etc.)
  8. Select camera.
  9. Boooom. Full screen. You have to exit blender :(

Can reproduce here. The good news: You don't have to restart Blender, you can just use Ctrl+Rightarrow/Leftarrow to change the screen. It happens because of this stupid automatically created shortcut:

This shortcut executes the toggle fullscreen operator each time an action is done (also if you mouse hover buttons for example).
Will have a look the next week.

This isnt a big, shift-spacebar is already a key shortcut for toggling maximized area.

this has to be removed in your key configuration.

@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton), not sure... think you're understanding the issue a bit wrong (trying the exact same steps as mentioned above results in serious glitches which I don't think are because of conflicting shortcuts or so). The fullscreen op from my screenshot is intended to be handled on EVT_ACTIONZONE_FULLSCREEN, but for some reason gets handled on mouse events. Wanted to investigate further but didn't find the time yet.
