Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
On command line:
export CYCLES_OPENCL_SPLIT_KERNEL_TEST=1
open "classroom.blend" demo file. Enable OpenCL device in User preferences and Render Panel then press F12 to render scene.
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

OpenCL on Apple is currently broken, as Apple does ship its OS with outdated GPU drivers. There is not much we can do about this, apart from wait for Apple.
