Object distorts when mesh is too far from object's origin #44735

Description
When mesh is too far from object's origins it starts to distort, most notable when using subsurf, it once happened to me (couldn't recreate it in my example) that the when using the Looptools addon Circle option, after operating the mesh would not be a circle but instead I got a very distorted circle (I think it's internal, not the addon). In the case of my .blend example I just recreated the distortion visible from the subsurf modifier.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Created circle in the scene, then in Edit mode, I moved the mesh to (1000, 1000, 0), then extruded to make it a cilinder of it, then applied a subsurf modifier with 4 levels of subdivision and there it can be seen that the mesh is distorted.

Thanks for the report, but no bug here, you are simply reaching the famous floating point precision issue (your mesh is 10000 units offset, btw, not 1000).
