System Information
Windows 7
INtel Core i 5 2400 CPU 3.1 GHz
32 Gigs of Ram
graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

Blender Version 2.75a
Broken: Snapping bones when rigging to verts
Worked: as far as i know it has never worked

Short description of error

**Progressively as I rig and add constraint and bones and remove them I find the

"snapping"

feature slowly begins to not works properly*
when i try to snap to verts then of the bone shoots of out in to space doubling its length
I have spoken to other users saying and they have the same problem

The work around is a flurry of key combinations that drastically slows down the rigging process.

Where do I go from here after I have reported a bug.

Thanks guys.

I have spoken to other users talk about such a problem and they have the confirmed they have same problem as well.

Please attach an example .blend file (the simpler the better), where snapping isn't working as expected.

@AdamEarle, thanks for the file, though for reports, you really have to give us exact steps to redo the error, what bone to select, exactly what operation to run.

Hey mate sorry about that
I hate it when people think i am a mind reader

So attached is the new blend file
you find notes in grease pencil

however if you can not understand my scrawl

  • click any of the tips of the bones
  • try to vert snap them to any of the empties
  • the bones should double in length and not snap to the empty
  • each time you do it the bone seems to double in length

I am on google hangout of you want to contact me though there if that helps speed things along
i can also give you a demonstration on how i am doing it if you would like

MrAdamEarle@gmail.com

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

ok here it is

Also have a worked out that if i actually run through a the snapping option and if one of them work then it kind of resets its self
I know that is kind of hacky but its better then creating empties and then snapping to the empties then deleting the empties just so that it will snap to the correct vert location.

everything else seem to snap correctly as well
the only thing that seems to not be snapping correctly is the bone tip.
