System Information
Windows 7 64bit professional; Phenom x6 1090t; GTX580 3 gb; 16gb ram

Blender Version
Broken: 2.76 e24eab1
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
In object mode, when add a new object and modify it using F6 property panel (i.e. adding edges), a object undo is applied.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Add a cube to your scene;
  • in edit model modify it (i.e. crtl+R add a loop and move this on z axis)
  • Enter object mode
  • add a cone
  • press F6 and cage vertices number

Will have an unwanted undo.

Thanks for your time.

I cannot confirm or reproduce that… Please be more specific about the 'unwanted undo' (on which object does it apply? what does it undo exactly?).

Hi,
sorry for my poor english and thanks for your answer.
For undo I mean turn back to previous action (usually done with CRTL+Z)
If use F6 property panel after added an object on the scene, I obtain a global "undo", so my operation in edit mode done on my previous object are cancelled.
Simply try the steps I described.

Well, I precisely followed your steps and had no undo at all here. And I do not see how this would be possible, since editmode actions are done before you add the new cone. Maybe you can record and share a small video (screen capture) of the issue, to be sure of what happens exactly?

Hi,
reproduced the steps with image (don't know how register it:

step 1: add a cube to your scene
bug step.jpg

Step 2: enter edit mode and edit a bit the cube

bug step 2.jpg

Step 3: Exit edit mode, in object mode a new cube (or what else, only if add ico sphere the bug is absent)
bug step 3.jpg

Step 4: Open F6 property panel
bug step 4.jpg

Step 5: Modify the basic primitive, in this case I modify the radius, instantly the edit done on previous cube disappear.

I cannot reproduce.
It seems that you are using a lot of addons.
Maybe this behaviour is related to one of them.

Does the problem still present if you load factory settings ?

Yes, cannot reproduce on factory setting.
Sorry if I bother you, anyway, how can understood what of my addon causing this problem?

Thanks for the detailed process, cannot reproduce that at all here, and have no idea how this is possible… Does it happen if you start Blender in factory settings (--factory-startup commandline option)?

Oh, eh, well, did not saw latest comments here… If factory settings fix the issue, you should be able to find which combination of settings and/or addons are generating that behavior. Until then, thanks for the report, but cannot consider this as a bug currently (we can always reopen when precise way to reproduce it is specified).

Well, you can toggle console window (look at Window menu).
See if an error message is written in it when doing undo.

If there is none; a way to find the culprit is to try to redo the bug by enabling one addon at a time.
I hope that testing addons one by one would be sufficient.
