Crash when UV unwrapping non-manifold object

Short description of error
When unwrapping a non-manifold object (e.g. plane), Blender crashes with an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Add a plane
  • Enter edit mode, select everything
  • Press U>1 to unwrap.

Same here. For me crashes only if UV/Image Editor is open.

still somthing strange is going on. look at this file

unwraping objects here with latest build (winx64 c3e7dfa) crashes blender, or distorts uvs. 2,76b unwraps this objects fine. latest working build for me d96ffde

Hi, I got something similar, although it doesn't make Blender crash every time, seems quite random, but related.

Some times I get a different "glitchy" unwrap result and 1 in 5 times Blender crashes. Sometimes Non-manifold meshes make blender crash right away, other times they don't (same geometry/file). Some times I get different Unwrap result every time I execute it, other times I only get a different result if I exit edit mode and enter again.

Sys info: W10 64, GF630, Blender 2.76.2 (22ec7b1)

It should really be fixed now, actually built and tested on Windows instead of guessing what the issue was.
