New Scene "Link Object Data" problem with keyframes #47290

System Information
Windows 8.1 GTX 580

Blender Version
Broken: 2.76b

Short description of error
The "Link Object Data" seems to be buggy when there are keyframes in play.

For example, if a cube has no keyframes, and I create a new scene using the "Link Object Data" option, I could alter the position of the cubes in different scenes no problem.
But if the cube has a keyframe, and I create a new scene with "Link Object Data" option, the cubes have the animations linked. Any keyframes altered/added/deleted will be carried over to the other cube.

The problem goes away once I clear the keyframes. Then I can animate the cubes in their respective scenes without impacting the other.

This is working as intended, after making the scene with linked data, you can use:

Object -> Make Single User -> Object Animation

Though it would be good to have a way to add a new scene and selectively link each kind of data.

Ah, I see. That resolves the problem!
Sorry for the bother.. I searched everywhere for an answer but couldn't find the solution anywhere.

Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work!
