Broken: 2.77 rc1

Get a bone. Animate this. Create some motion path. Choose tail or head like a point of start for calculation. Profit. Don't matter, what are you choose(Tail/head), path will be from tail.

Cannot confirm that here, works fine and I get head/tail mpath as selected.

Please be more precise about your process to reproduce the issue, maybe add a .blend file to help here, etc.

Ah, OK, you are doing it from 3DView posetools UI… which is actually wrong - you should have either calculate or clear, not both together (motion path needs to be cleared before being calculated again). will fix asap.
