Update old Images Featuring the Interface #47645

Here is a list of old 2.4x images that are currently in the manual. In order to find where the files are located, you will have to check out the source files locally and use a find in files tool. These are not all the images but only the ones that show the interface. However, the other ones are probably on the same pages as these:

Notes. for screenshots:

  • use default theme, zoom level.
  • avoid window borders.

When making compositing node images, please use this image to do compositing on.

Note that @JohnRoper started doing some of the compositing examples. It would be nice if his image used throughout for constancy.

Also a lot of the images are from the rigging section which is being done by @DanielHoughton so you all will want coordinate together.

I committed most of your new image the exceptions being rigging__armatures__editing__bones Fill and mouse clicks these have matching sets and you only have half the images.

For in the future would you like commit access to make more changes like this in the future?

I'm not familiar with how it works (subversion, patches...) so I would prefer just to create images.

1st & 2nd images are similar and represent the same result
3rd need review (for me it works the same as in the 1st & 2nd image, and not as described)

Fill between joints

"Fill between a tip and a root" - I just think there is enough only one image
"Fill between tips" - need review (there is no dependence on the position of the 3D cursor as described)
"Fill between roots" - 1st images is OK, 2nd need review (current Blender does not do so as described)
"Fill with only one bone end selected" - also enough only one image

It is not that hard, especially if you use an SVN client like Smart SVN. Plus, there are people on #blenderwiki on IRC that would be glad to help you.

I have read instruction and looked Smart SVN, it's just not fun. If there were some kind of simple web interface, it would be useful.
