Short description of error

I had a problem with cycles not performing well (very sluggish). The problem stemmed from Win7 "not genuine warning" which apparently cripples performance. I had a hard-drive crash and when I re-installed win7 the activation code would no longer work (because the old code was lost in the crash and was not "deactivated"). Because MS no longer supports Win7 I cannot call them to have the code reactivated. I had to jump through hoops to reset the warning, but once I did, Blender and Cycles ran like a scalded monkey.

Its not really a bug on blenders behalf, but I wanted you to know in case someone else complains about the same issue...or perhaps you can make a dialog box that pops up if it identifies that the OS is crippled.

No need to respond.
