System 2: Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit, GeForce 750Ti, AMD FX-6200 6 core

Blender Version
Broken: 2.77a 64-bit Linux. Official build from Blender.org

Cloth simulation has errors when using the solidify modifier with the "Even Thickness" option checked.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Use the attached blend file.

If the cloth is not baked, bake it. Afterwards, play the animation. There should be errors, which look like pieces of the cloth are being pushed around quickly. Now turn off "Even Thickness" in the solidify modifier on the shorts and they go away.

There's always something, ain't there? Odd, I drug-n-dropped the file and saw the progress bar as it uploaded. I'll upload here in a sec.

Thanks for the report, but here you are pushing our poor, known limited physics way beyond the safety point, especially in the crotch area of the clothing… The spikes generated by the solidify modifier are simply due to bad geometry generated by the cloth simulation.

Not a bug really, physics in blender are known old and need some serious update, but that’s part of ongoing development.
