Improving Cycles' bokeh - chromatic effects

I've found a paper on raytracing giving an improved version of bokeh effect - it takes into account the chromatic effects that are present in real-life photography, but are missing from the CGI world. Real-life bokeh isn't monochromatic and wavelength-agnostic, but Cycles' current raytracing is. Bokeh in real-life creates colorful artifacts that are absent from raytraced images.

Maybe this document can be used to improve Cycles' bokeh rendering capabilities and take another step forward towards photorealism?
