Hi this commit will replace https://developer.blender.org/diffusion/BAC/browse/master/online_mat_lib/
I have discussed the replacement of this addon with the author @petercassetta some time ago.
Matlibvx originated here:
https://sites.google.com/site/aleonserra/home/scripts/matlib-vx-5-6
"Matlib VX is a Blender addon that will create a material library. You can save, load and categorize materials that can be shared across all your projects.
This version uses a blend file as database so all external render engines, all node materials and textures are supported. It also makes use of blender compression."
The version supplied will have no preset materials at this stage.
Users can Copy any blend file inside the matlib folder and it will be available at the script interface or create their own librarys.
Updated interface:
file:materials_library_vx.zip
Thanks.
