Broken: 2.77a, 2.78rc
Worked: 2.76
Video sequencer unable to import any movie to strips, it just says cant load. Tried all kinds of videos.
When i start the blender from terminal and try to drag and drop file to sequencer, i get like this:
drop file /home/user/Videos/file3.mkv
not an anim: /home/user/Videos/file3.mkv
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Cannot confirm this here, neither with own builds on debian testing system, nor with official 2.78 RC1.
Please attach here a (smal!) failing video file.
You need to test on Fedora 24 or Windows 8.1 with any file. I just installed Ubuntu 16.04 and it seems to work without trouble with any file. Fedora still cant work with any file.
Btw, Ubuntu has 2.76b, I am not ruling out that update to 2.77 will break it on ubuntu as well. Cant test that now, have work to do.
ALso, I just tired removing 2.77 from fedora and installing 2.76, the problem persists, Blender on Fedora wont load any file. It might be trouble with Fedora packaging.
