{F387584}System Information
Laptop running Windows 7 x64
Quadcore Intel i7 CPU
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M Driver v375.63

Blender Version
2.78

Short description of error
When adding a new material to a mesh object in cycles render everything freezes and i have to restart the pc by pressing the on/off switch. At the latest when i try to press the "use nodes" button in the Material-> Surface section.
Also it shows this (translated) message: "Failed to eject Nvidia GTX 765M". It goes on a bit longer but the main message is shown here.
It occured first when i tried to follow the steps of the YT tutorial "Blender Tutorial: Photorealistic Ring" by tutor4u. I reinstalled my graphic card drivers and it worked for that day. But today it occured again and reinstalling didn't work either when i tried to use the material function on a simple mesh object.

Edit1: I just found out that the error also occurs when i enter the "systems" tab in the preferences.
Edit2: Meanwhile i also found out that it works with version 352.86 of my nvidia driver, but not with the newest one v375.70
Edit3: Recently the error occurs when i enter the preferrences. I reinstalled the program before. Using v2.78a at the moment.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I followed the steps of the following part of the YT Tutorial
https://youtu.be/zqhi8q4EGZk?t=569

I marked a mesh object then clicked on the material tab. Then switched from blender render to cycles render. Then clicked on "use nodes".

Cycles is not doing anything directly with GPU, it uses drivers for that. If there is specific driver which worked and now it does not the odds is that it's either a driver issue or some combination of system/hardware/drivers installed.

Does the issue still happen with 378.49 ?
