Is there any version of Blender when this was working? Also please test with official builds. And I couldn't reproduce here (Debian Linux, Quadro K6000)

I suspect this is an issue with Mesa, and not really a Blender problem...

Are you using Mesa? If so, what version?
Might want to try testing with a different Mesa version.

I tried official builds and I had same issue. I think this is problem with Arch based linux distributions because I had this issue on antragos linux to.

I don't know what Mesa is.

After some testing, I found that the problem does not appear with Mesa 10.6.6, xorg-server 1.17.2, but does appear with Mesa 12.0.3. I'd try and find the exact version which broke this, but installing each version and its dependencies is very time consuming...

@MateuszGodlewski, Mesa is an OpenGL implementation. Manjaro likely installed it automatically, but you can check if it is installed and which version, on any Arch based distro, by running pacman -Qi mesa.

Further, you can check what OpenGL implementation is in use, by running glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version" (requires mesa-demos) or alternatively running glewinfo | grep "OpenGL version" (requires glew).

@pdosev, hm, I think that confirms my suspicion.

Anyway, based on the confirmation by @pdosev, this does indeed seem to be a Mesa issue, and unfortunately there is most likely nothing we can do on our side... So I'm closing this, but it can be reopened if @MateuszGodlewski's issue turns out to be something else.
