Material user_id count does not update when joining objects

Hi Bastien,

here is the bug reminder you asked for: place X objects into your scene, assign every object the same material. Join them. The material user counter will still be X after joining.
It's definitely happening with 2.78a and newest git.

Uh… there is no bug here in fact. Material usercount remains the same after joining because the number of users remain the same - joined meshes are not deleted, they remain available (with 0 users) until you save & reload your file.

If you assign your materials to the object (and not the data) and then join those objects, material usercount falls down to 1 as expected.
