Object mapped normal maps are influenced by UVs. #50499

It seems that Normal Map node is relying on UV mapping for it to work which actually makes sense because you get tangent from it. The problem is, some materials are only set with generated mapping thus users don't feel the need to add any UV map and this gets into way once you use real Normal Maps. It seems Bump node works just fine, haven't checked thoroughly but since it's world-spaced I don't think there would be a problem.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Delete the cube
Add a cube :P
Rotate it by 90 degrees.
Make sure the cube has no UV map whatsoever (it shouldn't have)
Add material to it
Go to Node Editor and create + connect:
1 Texture coordinates node set to Object mapping
2 Image texture node with Box projection, Non-color data and any normal map image
3 Normal map node
4 Emission node plugged into output

Now see that there is a big difference once you add a UV map to the object (just click the +, no real need to UV map)

If you scale the UVs to 0 so they all make a dot, real problems happen and one side of the cube will be 99% black
