Low performance with Decimate

Short description of error
Decimate modifier is computed even, model is hidden. So performance is low when you want to use it for LOD.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Play scene
  2. After delete LOD1 and LOD2 performance is ok

LOD1 and 2 are hidden in my scene, but it consume performance. I think it was not happen in previous version, but maybe I am wrong.

Can you test on 2.77 or 2.76 please to confirm if other versions are affected?

I just tried 2.76a and same performance. So my mistake, it is normal :) It is not bug, maybe TODO, if it is possible.

Yes this is a todo many of the modifiers can benefit from being multi-threaded which is a todo, so archiving this.
