Driver in particle system doesn't visualy update #50593

Short description of error
Driver in particle system updates only with enabled viewport render button. A little bit visual unfriendly. However working in final render.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Press right arrow on keyboard and watch the driver. After frame 20 vieport render will be disabled, and driver will stop updating.

This behavior can only be observed with the old dependency graph, and works fine with the new one. The old dependency graph will be completely replaced in Blender 2.8, but in the meantime, you can already use the new depsgraph by running Blender from the command line like this: blender --enable-new-depsgraph

On a separate note, I actually find it weird that particle system settings such as "Render Emitter" continue having effect after the particle system is made invisible. As I see it, the driver should indeed not be updated when the particle system is invisible. I wonder if that is unintended behavior... Oh well...

Anyway, closing this as the OP's issue has been solved in the new depsgraph.
