System Information
OS: Windows 8.1
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics (friend has integrated version, and it works on his part.)
Blender Version
Version 2.78, both normal & Steam version, using 64-bit on normal.
Whenever I click "Launch" on Steam or start it directly from the .exe (normal), it opens a command prompt, then closes after 1 second. Afterwards, it opens Blender, but it's just a gray screen with no direction or any composition of what to do. It stops responding after a bit, then crashes entirely with no info on why it crashed. When I check what the command prompt says, it says C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender>blender.exe
found bundled python: C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\python\
Error: EXCEPTION_IN_PAGE_ERROR
There is no known way to reproduce it. I've been speaking with some of the users on a Blender Discord. This was the only place that they thought I should post to get help.
Devs, if I wasted your time, I'm sorry, but there's no one better to ask than the ones who made Blender.

Not much we can do here. Some things to try:
Sadly, already tried what was stated above. Maybe another dev could come around and know some ways of fixing?

EXCEPTION_IN_PAGE_ERROR tend to be hardware malfunctions, failing drive, bad ram, overheating cpu etc, it's not a fault in blender or something we can fix.

With such possibly hardware-related crashes I would recommend checking your memory with memtest86+. It doesn't always have to be a memory issue, but memory errors are tricky to diagnose yet very easy to test for.

I am going to close this because this is a hardware issue and therefore not something we can solve.
