Hi (Brendon),

since you had interest in my meshversions addon, I thought, one of my other little tools is much more interesting to the public: KTX Selectbuffer
I've published it on BlenderArtists and Twitter a while ago, but not all blender users use those sites ;-)

With it, you can do boolean operations on selections.
Operation:
Choose an edit mode (verts/edges/faces)
Select some ... by hand or any other method
Add those to the selection buffer.
Select others by hand or any other method
Subtract/Add/Intersect that selection to the selection inside the buffer.
