Wrong behaviour of property name used in a sensor

Short description of error
Using a propertys name as sensor in this setup results in wrong output after starting the game engine:

Look at the sensor.
Picture 1 is wrong output, picture 2 is correct but with number 200 instead of "max", which should basically be the same, but it doesnt work.
In fact, "max" says 100 is greater than 200.

(Intention of setup is to not let "prop" go greater than "max")

The Property sensor expects a raw value, not a property for comparison. In your case you can change your sensor by an "Always" sensor, and replace the "And" controller by an "Expression" controller: prop > max
