Principled BSDF roughness is different between node editor and properties editor #51459

System Information
Windows 10 64 bits,/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070

Blender Version
Broken: 2.78 1cfc481
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
If a Principled Bsdf is added from the properties editor, it will have a roughness of 0.0. If it is added from the node editor, the roughness will be 0.5.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Create a new material, and add a Principled Bsdf from each editor, and note the difference between the two shaders in the node editor.
I did notice that from the properties editor, if the shader is deleted, and a new one created from the properties editor again, it will (more often than not) have the same .5 roughness as the shader created from the node editor.

If you replace a node in the properties editor (and in the node editor), Blender will attempt to preserve any values and links for sockets with matching names. The issue here is that the Roughness in the Principled BSDF and Diffuse BSDF have a different meaning. We might improve the logic here at some point, but I don't consider it a bug at the moment, it's a To Do item.
