I already reported this problem a while ago (https:developer.blender.org/T45011), but thisclosed because it occured with an old version of Blender*. Today this problem*reoccured with the latest version of Blender// (2.78). Here's a short description of the problem:
In the context of video editing, Blender sometimes will render past the endframe that is set when rendering the video, despite it looking normal when playing back in the VSE. This problem occurs even if using proxy/timecode.
System information:
Blender version: 2.78c
OS: Windows 7
Sample blender file exhibiting this problem (w/o the huge video files)
sshock2-lp55.blend

How to reproduce the issue with file you've attached? Does the issue happen when using Record Run No Gaps time code?
You can't really reproduce the error with what I posted, you would need the video files of course. But I don't know how to provide 80 GB of video to you (I haven't tried uploading it with the "Upload File" option, as I assumed there would be a file size limit). Assuming you would have the files however, it should be reproducible simply by rendering ("animating"):
c:\path-to-blender\blender.exe -b sshock2-lp55.blend -o sshock2-lp55.avi -a
I used the "Record Run" timecode. I can try to render it again with the "Record Run No Gaps time code" to see whether this changes anything, if you want.
I'm not sure whether it helps, but I attached the time code files to this comment.
record_run_no_gaps.blen_tc
free_run.blen_tc
record_run.blen_tc
interp_free_run.blen_tc
We can't fix issues which we can't reproduce. So you would need to find a smaller video which demonstrates the issue.
I will try to trim the video down to something I can upload (to somewhere). Question: assuming I can't, but I find a way to host this file, would you even be willing to download 80 gigs?

More than a week without reply. Due to the policy of the tracker archiving for until required info/data are provided.
Sorry for not responding earlier, but I was on vacation and didn't have access to my computer. Unfortunately I was not successful at reducing the file size while keeping the bug reproducible, so I have made a torrent of the file as is. I know it's quite bothersome to ask anyone to download 80 GB, so I can understand if you don't want to do it. I will keep trying to cut the file size down in the meantime.
Just to give some context, I had this issue
Here the torrent. At the moment I have two seeds (one with 24h availability, one part time).av-sync-prob.torrent
Is anybody still watching this? Did you try downloading the torrent?
