It can render 1920*1080 but when rendering 4K it crashes. It just shuts down.

Older blender-2.80.0-d0dad02 could render 4K but it stalled when trying to render 8K

Thank you for the report, but 2.8 is currently under heavy development, and we are not taking bugs from end users yet.
Keep watching for updates at https://builder.blender.org/download/ to see if your issue got resolved.

For the time being, closing this report.

I just saw that blender 2.8 is not for reporting bugs but on download page it says "These builds are from the Blender 2.8 project. They are for testers and user feedback. Do not use in production. Do not save important files with it.".

It sound's like we should report bugs?

I do understand, but as it is still early in development most of the 2.8 currently acceptable tasks are for developers to keep track of some possible issues that arise during development.

Hi.
I agree with 'bigbad' about "They are for testers and user feedback" part in that message can be confusing, and users could spend time making reports that will then be closed. Maybe delete that part of the message, and even better than that expressly clarify that Blender 2.8 is not yet in a stage in which user reports are accepted.

The thing is, at first we were open to some well reported reports. However we are getting way too many time consuming "my hardware is leading to errors" issues.

So we switched from encouraging bug reports to gather high quality sample files, and use them as reference and regression suit. At least for the time being.
