Am a 3 weeks old new Blender user. Long term ZBrush user.
Blender Version
Broken: 2.79 RC1 and (Sept 12) RC2
Short description of error
Can't mouse click confirm resizing Editor Windows.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Resize ANY editor windows. Edges will stick to mouse and won't release.
Need to hit Enter to confirm.
Resetting Hotkey settings to Blender/ Max/ Maya default settings, sticky mouse issue persists!
This is odd.
Still suspecting my custom hotkeys are culprit, I applied multiple versions of my custom hotkey settings for a 2 week old 2.80.1 build.
It did produce the same issue.
However, as soon as I reset this 2.80 to Blender default, issue went away.
So it is indeed a 2.79 specific issue.
Other clues:
I use a custom layout and custom theme.
I use LMB click select, RMB press to orbit.
Numpad emulation is off.
All numpad related hotkeys have been disabled/ unticked , except Ortho directional, which I set to numerics.

The situation got worse after the last post. Even hitting Enter multiple times won't confirm resizing. Only Esc works.
I decided to start over.
After 2 hours, I have managed to get editor windows of 2.79 (August 15th version) to behave as normal.
Steps that made that happened
//I have noticed Blender continue to show older versions even after I saved user settings and exported backups.
Even drop down doesn't show latest exported backups. I have since deduced, I need to first save internally, click the + button, save a new internal, then save a backup external copy.//
I have reimported previously saved versions of custom hotkeys. At some point it must have been corrupted.
You decide if this is considered solved?

With such issues, you can easily check if they are caused by customizations by (temporarily) resetting Blender to factory settings . If you like to do heavy-ish customizations that's something you should keep in mind, it can be really useful.
Regarding the remaining "Restore" items - it's hard to tell what causes this and if this is a bug. It would need further investigation. If this continues to appear, better open a new report.
In any case, thanks for the report, glad you got it working again!
