Windows 10.0 Pro (Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299)
NVIDIA GRX 1080 w/ 8GB GPU RAM
Intel i7-7600K@4GHz

Also tested on macbook pro (same crash when rendering)
i7 2.5GHz
16GB Ram

Blender Version
2.79 (2017-09-11 10:43)
(same on Windows and Mac)

Short description of error
Nodes Animation project cause memory allocation to skyrocket
Blender Crashes when going into render
ep-video-intro.blend

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Load attached project (watch memory climb from 10MB to +15GB on full-screen 4k monitor)
  2. Press "Animation" button on Render tab soon after loading the project
  3. Sometimes a few PNGs will render, and then crashes with the error "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" (and sometimes it crashes immediately)

Thanks for the report, but animation nodes are not in the official blender repository (not atm at least), so we can not fix anything in there. You need to contact author of the addon instead.

But also keep in mind that those nodes are implemented purely in python, so there are definitely going to be limitations on how much efficient they could be..
