Short description of error
When you select the cycles render, you can configure the world texture nodes. It should not be. These nodes are used only in Internal Render.

There is currently no way for render engine to tell what type of nodes it supports. Surely, we can add explicit exception for Cycles, but that is rather hacky solution. Additionally, you might still want to tweak nodes for other render engines, while Cycles is active. This would be annoying to keep changing render engines to just do quick tweak to another node tree.

This is one of the usability issues which we are looking for 2.8, so please stay tuned with development in there!
