viewport transparency updating doesn't work with cycles render

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
On the attached file, simply press play and see nothing happen.
Instead, using 2.78a official version, you can see a plane appear and disappear

Actually it works when manually sliding the Factor slide, but when the Factor is slid within the timeline with keyframes, it does not.
In other words:
Diffuse and Transparent through Mix -> View Material with ViewPort Alpha set to Alpha Blend
Sliding factor shows changes in viewport,
Sliding factor via keyframes does not show changes in viewport.

This is an old known limitation of viewport GLSL rendering, there is no support for animated parameters. It may be solved in a future version like 2.8 but it's unclear when exactly still. Blender 2.78 and earlier versions seem to have exactly the same problem.
