default color for grouping objects
Closed, InvalidPublic

The color (lime green) is used for both Rigid Body and Group. This can be very confusing. When I see an object outlined in lime green, I suppose it to be a Rigid Body, but instead it's just in a Group.

Please reset the default color for Group to another unused color, like purple or pink.

Thank You.

Thanks for the report, but this is not actually a bug.

Technically, Rigid Body objects get displayed in green because they get added to a Group that the Rigid Body sim then uses to determine what objects it needs to consider. Therefore, "green" isn't really the "Rigid Body colour"; rather, Blender only knows that the objects are part of a Group. Unfortunately, this can cause some confusion, as in cases like yours. Perhaps as part of the 2.8 project, we will whether Collections can get different coloured wireframes (note though, that these issues have been contentious in the past, so it may be a while before anything happens here).
