Compressed Splash Screen
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
On the second, third or fourth launch of Blender the Splash Screen is reduced in width making the release version and recent open files hard to read

@brecht 5K monitor thingie here? Just don't understand why size goes down between blender starts.
I deleted Blender and the Application Support files, reinstalled Blender 2.79 and haven't had the problem reoccur.
Were you able to replicate the issue at your end?

I wasn't able to redo the issue. It seems related to Retina support somehow, but it's not clear to me.
If you still had the Blender folder from Application Support, we could investigate it since it's likely something in the userpref.blend there, but difficult to figure out what happened otherwise. So we can reopen if it happens again.
