Blender 2.8 dev
Broken: 7314904a77
Works: Unknown

test_file.blend

Open file
Hit F12
Wait for render to finish
Hit Esc (to return to viewport)
Objects have disappeared.

There are not even iterated on by the Depsgraph until you refresh them by selecting them (using select all operator).

Note that I cannot reproduce with a clean file.

This file has other problems like: I cannot enter edit mode on the objects except the background/floor plane. Note that thoses objects were imported from another blend file and used to work in edit mode in 2.8. I may open another bug repport for this issue.

If you remove the viewport layer it works. Visibility syncing won't be fixed until we have copy-on-write fully working.

Can not reproduce the issue with copy-on-write enabled, which makes sense: visibility is flushed to the actual object, which causes conflicts between viewport and render, With copy-on-write enabled, both viewport and render has own data, without visibility flags conflicting.
