Short description of error
ctrl + x gives bad geometry for vertices loops

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Select default cube
  2. Go to edit mode
  3. Select all and subdivade simple x2
  4. Switch to vertex select
  5. Select (single or multiple parallel) vertex loop and dissovle it by ctrl + x

PS. It apears that the same operation on flat surface works as dsired

You don't need to add tags: BF Blender 2.8 & Platform: Windows. Unless your issue is only in 2.8 or only on Windows.

I don't know why but i was expecting same/ similar behavior as with edge loop disolve, and just realized my mistake, case cloed!
