Just to make sure:

  • you are talking about that graphics glitch (that square behind the mouse pointer/cursor)?
  • functionality is intact? you can enter values in the input field? (just asking because you say it's "broken")?
  • how come you think this is a MacOS bug, not a blender bug?
  • blender uses its own UI code for drawing the interface/widgets, that's how it is...

Marking as incomplete for the time being

+ you are talking about that graphics glitch (that square behind the mouse pointer/cursor)?
Yes

+ functionality is intact? you can enter values in the input field? (just asking because you say it's "broken")?
Yes, functionality is intact, all text fields work correctly

+ how come you think this is a MacOS bug, not a blender bug?
In MacOS HeighSierra there were difficulties with video cards from GeForce. When i try change cursor size, that square behind the mouse pointer disappears.
The problem is in the MacOS with the raster pointer which is used in the blender.
At my iMac 2017 with Radeon all work is correct.

(blender uses its own UI code for drawing the interface/widgets, that's how it is...)
This bug does not interfere with the work, just uncomfortable. This square distracts and sometimes overlap what you enter in the text field you have to move the cursor away, it is inconvenient. I thought, why not use the standard system cursor, as in all other applications?

Thanx for reporting back!
Just noticed this has been reported before, see T53648.

Will close this report as duplicate then.
