Failure of playing animation from imported .dae file
Open, NormalPublic

Description

OS: Windows 10 x64 Home
System: I7 8700K, 32 GB DDR4, GTX 1060 6GB
Blender: 2.79
Problem:

I have a dae file, i noticed that the animation was not playing, while first i thought the problem was from the software which created the dae file, atfter another guy tested the file in maya and confirmed me that the animation is working it was clear it has to be a problem with the blender dae importer.

Reproduce, i attached the dae file.
Just import it in Blender, the character should play a quite complex animation, but is not.
I already checked the System console, no output showing an error

Yann HN

i am working on a major rewrite of the exporter and importer. This rewrite is available in the collada branch (based on master) and it very likely has fixed the reported issue. However i have not updated the collada branch since a few months because i had only very little time.

You could build blender now from the current collada branch to see if this solves the issue. I myself plan to finish the collada-rework and migrate this to Blender 2.8 in the time from september until december-2018. Should your issue not already be fixed in the current collada branch then i will take care of this as well.

EDIT:
After a simple edit of the make.bat it build sucessfully from branch collada, but sadly the issue is NOT fixed

ORIGINAL
I tried but was unable since the collada branch seams to be using a non existing version of the precompiled libraries
svn: E170000: URL 'https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/lib/windows_vc12' doesn't exist

you probably need to merge from master branch. I will take a look at this.

You are free to take the .dae file i added as a reference

Merge the changes from collada onto master? Will that work?

I am currently updating the collada branch from master. i do not know how long it will take. I think that updating master from collada is currently not a good plan since i first want to be sure that the new collada module is clean, documented and stable.
