Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780

Broken: (2.80-b350b194eb2-win64)
Worked: (2.79)

While in orthographic mode if I snap to an axis while rotating my view by holding alt, as soon as I start rotating the view again, it changes to perspective.
This only happens when the axis being snapped to is (front, right, back, top, left, bottom), all other angles named user don't cause this bug.

  1. turn on orthographic mode.
  2. rotate view.
  3. hold alt to axis snap.
  4. snap to a named axis (front, right, top, etc), not a user axis.
  5. rotate the view again. (it should force perspective mode)

Thanks for the report.

This happens because when "Auto Perspective" is enabled, the viewport automatically switches to perspective mode when changing from top/side/front view.
You can disable this setting in the User Preferences in the Interface tab.

Closing as Invalid because this is a feature, not a bug. :D
