Load a .obj like this: Wii U - Mario Kart 8 - Mario.zip

Seems to work OK here in Linux.
Are you importing the mario.obj file or the .zip?
Obj file. Was I supposed to load the zip?
No, you need to unzip the archive and select the mario.obj file.
Here is the output from the terminal window:
( 0.0000 sec | 0.0000 sec) Importing OBJ '/home/steve/Downloads/Mario/mario.obj'...

I did but the textures won’t load
Try Cycles rather than Blender Render.
Using Cycles Render, Mario basically looks OK but the eye texture is mapped incorrectly.
Doesn’t work... tried photoshop and it did it but I need blender to change the model animation
Might be a problem running the OBJ importer under Windows, but someone else will have to test it.
Try running Blender from the command line and attaching the output from running the importer.

If there are still problems with loading textures on your side, could you please upload the blend file that demonstrate missing textures?
