Short description of error
Blender crashes after creating a circle shape under grease pencil object.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Note: This only happens when we first delete the default stroke object and follow the exact steps.
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with the minimum amount of steps
Note: A blend file does not apply to this situation.

I did the same steps and I cannot reproduce it. I have Windows and NVIDIA like you.
Could you send me the log of the crash?
Added subscriber: @lichtwerk
Also cannot reproduce.
Marking as incomplete until we have a crash log...
I did not see a crash log generated in the /tmp folder, so I am attaching a recorded session of the crash.2018-10-16_18-43-44.mov
Also, I followed this article: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/troubleshooting/crash.html
But could not locate a file for the crash log.
Thanx for that (keep forgetting crashlog is disabled for windows)
Are there any (error) messages when launching blender from the commandline with the
-d
option?Following is displayed when I run blender in command prompt with -d (attaching the screenshot below the message as well):

Is that including the crash? (please make it crash)
No, it wasn't including the crash. I will attach the new screenshot soon.
Here is the screenshot after the crash.
I tried to reproduce the crash with a newer build (hash:
a2922f9840
) and the blender did not crash this time.Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Resolved'
Ah, good to hear, closing then (feel free to reopen if issues come up again)
