There is problem with option dyntopo.

System Information
Window 10 , GTX 1050.

Blender Version
Broken: blender-2.80-43c6aba6705-win64.
Worked: 2.79.

Short description of error
When I use this option dyntopo(check box) if I switch the other options it’s will disappear that I check it before.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I don’t want it disappear when it change the other options.

Yes, you're right.I'm learning v2.8 in sculpt mode and I do not want to press it often.Such as I want to create object for use Boolean modifier.I have to switch to object mode and I have to press it again.

Here are my findings:

  • exiting sculptmode will disable dyntopo [but keeps a flag so it can be enabled again when entering sculptmode another time] (see here)
  • entering sculptmode another time will check that flag and enable dyntopo again, but only if no vertex colors, UVs etc are found [as those wont be preserved] (see here)
  • (blender will also actually warn you about this in the status bar: "Warning: Dynamic Topology found: face data, disabled")
  • this was also the case in 2.7 (dyntopo was also disabled if it found UVs etc.), only difference here is that now in 2.8 we have UVs by default on the default cube [if you start of with the General template that is]
  • (of course you can get around it by removing the UVs -- as those wont be preserved anyways...) If you do that or the following:
  • if you start of with the Sculpting template, luckily you wont have UVs on the default sphere, so dyntopo should be preserved across mode changes then.
