this problem was present a time in 2.79 and I had a solution create a share window with preferences with split aera but it's not possible anymore for preferences.

I found a solution to the problem, found in another thread:
Go to the intel HD Graphics Control Panel 3D Settings and turn off conservative morphological anti-aliasing.
So this seems to be an intel problem.
it's turned off I get no more pb about closing a window but I get a problem with B not selecting several object. and sometimes I have to clic on a object to actualise changes. it's like if it was no more selected. in edit stroke og grease pencil selection is not visible.
it's a french article but it's telling what I find here HD graphic and amd and it's not intel but microsoft apparently...https://www.commentcamarche.net/news/5872092-windows-10-microsoft-retarde-encore-le-deploiement-de-la-maj-1809
"Mais plusieurs autres problèmes bloquants demeurent, sans être résolus pour le moment. Certains proviennent des pilotes d'affichage Intel, et touchent de fait de très nombreux possesseurs d'ordinateurs équipés de circuits graphiques Intel Graphic HD, mais également d'anciennes cartes graphiques AMD (à base de circuits Radeon HD2000 et HD4000)"

Is this still an issue with the latest intel drivers? I'm just checking as there is probably not much we can do as this is a driver issue and not a blender issue.
I updated to driver version 25.20.100.6472 (from Lenovo), and the only change is that Blender crashes before I see the default workspace (today's build). Currently I'm fine knowing that I have to turn off conservative morphological anti-aliasing to make Blender work. It also seems that it is turned off by default now anyway, and can only be changed manually for a specific application. After some search across the internet, this "feature" seems to be a problem for many applications and games since 2015.
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
Ok, I guess I'll close this then as it seems like this is most certainly a driver issue (and that feature is now off by default so...)
