Short description of error
Blender should not crash when quickly switching to edit mode from particle edit mode. This bug works in all previous versions of blender 2.8 (well the ones I have used).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Create new blender project (keep cube)
  • Select Cube
  • Go to particle system tab on the right
  • Create new particle system
  • Set particle system as hair
  • On left side of window go to particle edit mode
  • Use "comb" tool to distort hairs
  • use middle mouse button to rotate view
  • Quickly press "TAB" several times to go to edit mode and back
  • Blender crashes
