Short description of error
If I run import sklearn in blender python console, new scene with name

from multiprocessing.semaphore_tracker import main;main(43)

is opened.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Go to <blender folder>/2.79/python
  2. Run this script to get pip
  3. Install scikit-learn by pip install scikit-learn
  4. Run blender, open python console and write import sklearn
  5. You will get:
    1. the following errors: `Error: Cannot read file '/data/gregork/blender/render/-c': No such file or directory ... opened default scene instead; saving will write to /data/gregork/blender/render/-c Error: Cannot read file '/data/gregork/blender/render/from multiprocessing.semaphore_tracker import main;main(43)': No such file or directory ... opened default scene instead; saving will write to /data/gregork/blender/render/from multiprocessing.semaphore_tracker import main;main(43)`
    2. New blender scene will open with name "from multiprocessing.semaphore_tracker import main;main(43)"

Event Timeline

I can reproduce this error for both 2.79b and 2.8 on Ubuntu 64-Bit using a pip installed with ensurepip. This error doesn't seem to occur on Windows.

It seems like the same problem reported in T57657

Well then, same issue, same answer am afraid. thanks for the report anyway.

Any updates on this issue? I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and importing scikitlearn.preprocessing launches multiple instances infinitely. Has anyone fixed this issue? I tried using the Blender installation from Ubuntu software repository for 18.04 and also on the standalone downloadable as well. Both are having the same issues.
