Short description of error
Cant start HOps and Boxcutter after update from: (Version: Hard Ops 9 - v4 Plutonium) to (version: Hard Ops 0097_1 Promethium ) (Box cutter 0.6.7) to (Box Cutter v7.0.0)
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

You can report this to the authors of those addons, the Blender project does not maintain them.
There have been some recent API changes, now that the beta is out we expect it to be more stable.

Was just about to say the same before my machine crashed.
However one hint: It seems like you are trying to use the Blender 2.8 version of the addon in Blender 2.79. So you either need to use Blender 2.8, or another version of the addon.

I have just had the same issue with Boxcutter. I'm not asking for a fix here as I can see I need to contact the author of the addon but one thing I noticed is according to the Splash Screen I have version 2.7 of Blender yet when I installed it directly from your site it was definately 2.8...and programme properties confirms that.
@Dreadalous make sure you get the very latest Blender build. There was an issue where it showed 2.7 in the splash screen, but that was fixed some weeks ago.
Ye I think you're right. My cousin installed this for me back in April and said it was 2.8 but confused me as I thought 2.8 only just came out beginning of July.
I'm pretty nooby with installation of these kind of programmes but I would like to ask, if I install the latest version will it overwrite the BPL decals addon my cousin installed? I ask because I want to make sure I don't lose them. If it will wipe em off them I will wait to chat with my cousin. ty
Add-ons will not be removed when installing a different Blender version. The 2.80 beta builds are not even installed, it's just a folder that you extract and run Blender from, not overwriting anything.
