Of course, my apologies 🚀

Cannot confirm here (linux, 970m)

  • Not sure if you can force MacOS to run blender on the NVidia GPU alone? (if so, does this prevent crashing?)
  • Could you post the crash log here as a txt file?
  • see also here

Here the crash report from the system. I tried locking my computer do the nVidia card, by changing the Energy saving settings, like this: still crashes.

( I don't see any crash reports in my /tmp folder or at the save destination )

Looks like this was crashing in GPU_shader_transform_feedback_enable

@Clément Foucault (fclem) commited a relating fix (see rB0fe5a789837394d54c1a7570ef1e46c8ab3b0830)

@Sven Stober (Stober) , @Kristian Emil (z01nk) : could you check again with the newest build and see if the issue is fixed for you?

Hi Clément, thanks for your reply.
There's no updated MacOs build available. I will check it when the newest build is online.

Thanks to all of the developers for your amazing work on Blender!

I'll check as soon as the next build is up 👍

And as @Sven Stober (Stober) said, thank you @Clément Foucault (fclem) for committing and thank you to all the developers for your brilliant work!

Hi Clément,
just checked the latest MacOs Build from today ( blender-2.80.0-git20181211.f60018e425a-x86_64 )
Blender still crashes immediately when trying to enter particle edit for Hair.
"Also I think there is still the problem with subsurface and volumetrics in Eevee. ( T58793 )

Cheers and thanks,
Sven
